“THE FUTURE OF CLASSICS"

Ancient Homage is a luxury heritage brand rooted in the idea that the future of fashion lies in honoring the past.

Founded in Virginia by Andre Russell, the concept for Ancient Homage first emerged in the summer of 2008 and evolved over the following years into something far greater than apparel. In 2015, after a profound dream that carried the weight of a spiritual experience, the vision crystallized into a mission: to create a brand that pays tribute to the civilizations, thinkers, artists, and ancestors who laid the foundation for the modern world.

Born in Portsmouth, Virginia, Russell was raised within a village of grandparents and family members who instilled a deep sense of legacy and responsibility. After enduring the loss of several of those guiding figures, his perspective shifted toward honoring the generations that came before us and carrying their influence forward.

Ancient Homage is built on that idea.

The name itself represents a simple but powerful act: paying homage to humanity’s most distant ancestors as a gesture of gratitude for paving the way forward.

Through clothing, the brand reflects the artistic heights of civilization's global history — drawing inspiration from ancient cultures, classical symbolism, and timeless design language. The result is a distinctive expression of preppy luxury athleisure , blending heritage aesthetics with modern craftsmanship.

Ancient Homage exists for cultural thinkers, entrepreneurs, artists, and individuals who appreciate clothing with meaning behind it. It speaks to those who understand that fashion can be more than material — it can be a conversation, a philosophy, and a reflection of identity.

Every design serves as a reminder that civilization is a collective story written across generations. The brand is supported by a growing circle of collaborators, creatives, and visionaries who share a commitment to craftsmanship, cultural respect, and timeless expression.

Looking forward, Ancient Homage is building toward becoming a culture-first luxury house — expanding beyond apparel into high fashion, home goods, furniture, and media.

Because honoring the past is not about living in it.

It is about carrying its wisdom forward.
